A Finnish company, Voimaosakeyhtiö SF is the majority shareholder of Fennovoima. A common denominator of its shareholders is their need for emission-free electricity at a stable price.
Hanhikivi 1 will be built to produce reliable, Finnish electricity that is not dependent on the weather. The plant’s operational lifetime will be at least 60 years. Nuclear energy is emission-free and price-stable base load power. The Hanhikivi 1 project will have an extensive positive impact on the economy of Finland as a whole.

A COMMON DENOMINATOR OF THE SHAREHOLDERS IS THEIR NEED FOR RELIABLE, EMISSION-FREE ELECTRICITY AT A STABLE PRICE.
THE PLANT WILL COVER ONE TENTH OF FINLAND’S ANNUAL ELECTRICITY DEMAND.
